Alliance Health Center Completes Facility RenovationsMERIDIAN, Miss. – (May 27, 2010) – As part of ongoing facility improvements, Alliance Health Center, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, recently renovated its sixth floor to expand its behavioral healthcare capacity. In addition to general touchups and refurbished group therapy rooms, the nurse station is now enclosed by glass for optimal nurse-patient observation. “A lot of work has been done to modernize the sixth floor to make it more functional. We can now use this space as the need arises. We will continue to make facility improvements to make sure patients have the best care available,” said Bill Patterson, chief executive officer of Alliance Health Center. Heating and air conditioning units have been installed, as well as two new hot water boilers and 300-ton air cooled chillers. In the coming months, new fan coil units will be installed throughout the hospital to utilize the chillers. Additional upgrades planned for Alliance include a new sprinkler system, energy efficient light bulbs and energy efficient windows. Last July, Alliance unveiled a new gymnasium and soccer field, which are used as extensions of the facility’s programs to enhance treatment services. The $1.8 million gym addition includes a basketball court, full volleyball court and areas for other activities. “Coming up on its one year anniversary, the gym has been really beneficial in the overall treatment and rehabilitation of our patients,” Patterson said. “Some people may just look at it as a gym, but it’s really a multipurpose facility we use to enhance the treatment we offer here at Alliance.” About Alliance Health Center About Psychiatric Solutions, Inc.
